Positive for Rheumatoid factor and low B-12

I will write more another time with all the details but I promised I would always keep my medical information up to date for those of you who may need the information for your own journey. I just tested positive for Rheumatoid factor and low B-12. I'm certain all of my reproductive issues and other random health issues over the last 20 years are somehow all connected to this and hopefully I will get a diagnosis and treatment soon to help me feel better. I will post more another time.

  3. Hi babe, sittin here at work catching up on your blog. I wanted to dramatically proclaim to the world that I'm proud of you for putting it all out there, and offering such encouragement and support to those facing the same struggles we've dealt with, and continue to deal with. Love you!

  4. Hi Melanie, What tests would your Dr. run to find the Rheumatoid factor would I just ask for that? Wondering if I should have this checked...not that it would change things for us but to have answers would be nice.

Thanks for stopping by the other day.

  5. I had a bunch of auto-immune tests run recently by my GP, ANA, regular CBC, liver tests, and the Rheumatoid factor test. The RF test came back abnormal- positive. My level was 38 and it should have been 12 or 14. See the link below for some info. I'm waiting for my first appointment with the Rheumatoid doctor and I wanted to have the tests run by my General Practitioner so I had them all prepared for the first appointment. So you don't have to see a Rheumatologist to have these labs run. I wish I had more information right now but I will update as soon as I have more info from my appointment.

I know this is a new area of study in connection with reproductive issues but I feel strongly that the auto-immune issues that are coming to light now are all directly related to my reproductive struggles, absolutely. I hope that helps! Thanks for commenting!

  6. I'm so sorry about your diagnosis but I love your attitude about it. At least now you know what may be contributing to your reproductive and health issues. I always think it's easier when you "know" what's causing the problem, than when you don't b/c you're always left wondering.
